- Beef ribs 500 gr
- Palm sugar 2 blocks
- Sweet soy sauce 4 tbsp
- Salt 3 tsp
- Pepper 1 tsp
- Flavor enhancer 1 tsp
- Carrots 100 gr
- Green beans 100 gr
- Fresh lettuce leaves 4 to 6 pieces
- Onion 1 bulb
- Garlic 5 cloves
- Margarine 1 tbsp
- Cooking oil 2 tbsp
- Fresh tomatoes 3 pieces
- Oyster sauce 2 tbsp
Instructions
- Heat water, then add 500 gr beef ribs into the pot. Boil until the water foams.
- When the foam rises, turn off the heat, remove the foam, and set the ribs aside.
- Roughly slice 1 onion and 5 cloves of garlic.
- Heat the pressure cooker, add 1 tbsp margarine and 2 tbsp cooking oil.
- Stir until the margarine and oil combine.
- Add the sliced onion and garlic.
- Sauté briefly until fragrant and soft.
- Add the beef ribs back in and mix well.
- Add enough water to fully submerge the ribs.
- Add 2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp flavor enhancer, and 1 block of palm sugar.
- Add 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce and 2 tsp salt.
- Stir until evenly mixed.
- Close the pressure cooker and cook for 25 minutes.
- In another pot, heat water and add a pinch of salt.
- Boil 100 gr carrots for 5 minutes or until tender, then drain.
- In the same water, boil 100 gr green beans for 5 minutes, then drain.
- After the ribs finish cooking, transfer them to a regular pot.
- Reboil the semur and adjust the seasoning by adding 1 block of palm sugar, 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce, and 1 tsp salt to taste.
- Once boiling, add 3 fresh tomatoes that have been cut.
- Cook until the tomatoes soften, then remove from heat.
- Prepare a serving plate with rice, lettuce, carrots, and green beans.
- Grill or torch the ribs until they develop a smoky aroma.
- Add sliced chili and pour semur broth over the top.
- Serve warm.
