Ingredients

  1. Beef ribs 500 gr
  2. Palm sugar 2 blocks
  3. Sweet soy sauce 4 tbsp
  4. Salt 3 tsp
  5. Pepper 1 tsp
  6. Flavor enhancer 1 tsp
  7. Carrots 100 gr
  8. Green beans 100 gr
  9. Fresh lettuce leaves 4 to 6 pieces
  10. Onion 1 bulb
  11. Garlic 5 cloves
  12. Margarine 1 tbsp
  13. Cooking oil 2 tbsp
  14. Fresh tomatoes 3 pieces
  15. Oyster sauce 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat water, then add 500 gr beef ribs into the pot. Boil until the water foams.
  2. When the foam rises, turn off the heat, remove the foam, and set the ribs aside.
  3. Roughly slice 1 onion and 5 cloves of garlic.
  4. Heat the pressure cooker, add 1 tbsp margarine and 2 tbsp cooking oil.
  5. Stir until the margarine and oil combine.
  6. Add the sliced onion and garlic.
  7. Sauté briefly until fragrant and soft.
  8. Add the beef ribs back in and mix well.
  9. Add enough water to fully submerge the ribs.
  10. Add 2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp flavor enhancer, and 1 block of palm sugar.
  11. Add 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce and 2 tsp salt.
  12. Stir until evenly mixed.
  13. Close the pressure cooker and cook for 25 minutes.
  14. In another pot, heat water and add a pinch of salt.
  15. Boil 100 gr carrots for 5 minutes or until tender, then drain.
  16. In the same water, boil 100 gr green beans for 5 minutes, then drain.
  17. After the ribs finish cooking, transfer them to a regular pot.
  18. Reboil the semur and adjust the seasoning by adding 1 block of palm sugar, 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce, and 1 tsp salt to taste.
  19. Once boiling, add 3 fresh tomatoes that have been cut.
  20. Cook until the tomatoes soften, then remove from heat.
  21. Prepare a serving plate with rice, lettuce, carrots, and green beans.
  22. Grill or torch the ribs until they develop a smoky aroma.
  23. Add sliced chili and pour semur broth over the top.
  24. Serve warm.
